Evolved from a joint project the first UND# fairs up to UND#4 were organized in grassroots fashion together with the participating artist-run-initiatives. A great contributing factor in mounting the exhibition was the collaboration and labour input by the organizers and the exhibiting artists.

Association UND Plattform Karlsruhe.e.V.

The association was founded in February 2009 with the aim of supporting contemporary art and culture. The main focus is on the presentation and the instigation of a culture of networking for artist-run initiatives. This is supposed to be done by exhibitions, performances and theatrical events, concerts, lectures and art fairs.

These goals are to be realized by the annual event of UND# art fair. The association is non-profit and charitable. Both membership fee and donations are allowable tax deductions. We are depending on financial support to run each UND# event. This can be done by becoming a member of the association or a supporting member as well.

1. • support the association in its cultural work
2. • help facilitate the presentation of art apart from the established market
3. • enable artists to present themselves to a broader audience
4. • help to widen the scope of cultural activities in the town of Karlsruhe
5. • enable initiating an international network of artist-run initiatives
